Ian Dunbar on dog attacks

What a great interview with veterinarian/behaviorist Ian Dunbar about aggressive dog attacks. Wish this kind of thing would air on TV in the U.S. Instead, we get the Dog Whisperer.

If you want to learn more about him, here's a link to his SF Bay training school site and a link to Dog Star Daily, where he occasionally blogs.

City Paper posted my blog post

Hey, look, City Paper posted my blog post about the ignorant comments made by 98 Rock DJ Mickey Cucchiello the other day.

Throw the baby out with the bathwater much?

It's kind of amazing to me what lengths people will go to in order to avoid having to face the fact that all pit bulls are not evil creatures.

A library in Burlingame, Calif., unhappy that Jonny Justice, one of the Michael Vick dogs, had been invited to participate in its Paws for Tales reading program (in which kids improve their reading skills by reading do dogs, cancelled the program. According to California code, it wasn't legal for the library to prohibit pit bulls from participating in the program. So, to keep the pit bulls from being allowed to participate, they canned the whole thing.
